Application Cloud Architect (Java, Semantic Web Stack) - EU Institution (100% remote EU)

About the Role

For one of our main clients based in Brussels - a European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Application Cloud Architect with expertise in Semantic web stack, Cloud and Java to support corporate solutions in the area of lifelong learning and improving European’s career path and employment mobility. The project is focused on: a) Architectural guidance and support. b) Technical support in analysing compatibility with ESCO. c) Technical support on integration/interoperability with Eures/Europass.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support related to system architecture and system processes with the interoperability between ESCO and EURES/Europass
• Definition of a strategy to gain efficiency in IT operations for the Project
• Preparation and maintenance of Architecture design and technical documentation
• Coordination and review of current system processes
• Participate in workshops and meetings with external stakeholders
• Assistance with the evaluation of systems to find out discrepancies and vulnerabilities
• Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems
• Data analysis and data modelling
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
• Production of software architecture documents
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components

• Based anywhere within the European Union and able to work as a freelancer (B2B contract) in the residence country
