Android Engineer

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Android SDK, focusing on performance, security, and usability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers
• Support efforts to ensure compatibility across a variety of Android devices (low-end to high-end)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality
• Assist in debugging issues and resolving performance bottlenecks
• Stay up to date with Android development best practices and emerging technologies
• Contribute to improving development workflows, including testing and release processes

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• Experience as an Android Developer with hands-on work in Kotlin and/or Java
• Familiarity with Android frameworks and building mobile applications or SDK features
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration
• Experience with testing (unit or integration) and debugging
• Understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices (e.g. MVVM, clean architecture – exposure is enough)
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

• Exposure to Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with performance optimisation or working across different Android devices
• Any exposure to cross-platform tools (e.g., React Native or Flutter)
