Administrative Assistant
About the role
About Cape
Cape is America’s privacy-first mobile carrier. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless. Cape was founded in 2022 by people who believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a luxury to be traded away. Our journey began when our founder recognized a critical vulnerability in our modern world: everyone relies on the same stagnant cellular infrastructure and legacy systems that track our every movement, monitor and profile our connections, and lose and sell our personal data. Instead of accepting the status quo, we decided to fix it. National security professionals, journalists, parents, and everyone in between can stay connected and have privacy. We didn’t just build a layer on top of old tech; we built America’s most private and secure mobile carrier from the ground up. By building our own network from scratch, we are able to design and build a suite of privacy and security features that no other carrier on the planet can offer. Today, Cape provides our secure network to consumers, businesses, and government agencies alike. We closed our Series C in March 2026, and we are scaling rapidly, with the goal of giving people back control of their most personal information.
The Team
At Cape, we are the architects of a privacy-centric movement that is just getting started. We are relentless builders, constantly innovating at the edge of what’s possible in telecommunications. We operate on a foundation of high trust and high expectations. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with world-class engineers, architects, and visionaries, and work across organizational lines to solve "impossible" problems and deliver mission-critical results for our users every single day.
The Role
Cape is seeking a high-caliber Administrative Assistant to serve as a strategic "force multiplier" for Cape leaders. Your mission is to own the operational details that allow our leaders to stay focused on the big picture. You aren't just managing a calendar; you are managing the rhythm of the business, ensuring our team is in the right place, at the right time, with exactly what they need to succeed.
Here are some ways you’ll make an impact
- Strategic Calendar Command: You will transform the executive calendar into a curated roadmap, ensuring time is strictly allocated to Cape’s highest priorities while proactively resolving 100% of scheduling conflicts.
- Precision Logistics: You will own end-to-end domestic and international travel itineraries, managing every detail—from visas and time zones to ground transport—so that leadership travel is seamless and stress-free.
- Operational Velocity: You will reclaim hours of leadership’s weekly capacity by acting as a gatekeeper, problem solver, and a driver for ad-hoc special projects.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: You will serve as a polished, professional point of contact for Cape’s internal teams and external customers, navigating high-stakes relationships with discretion and tact.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who brings:
- Anticipatory Judgment: You don't wait for instructions. You see the domino effect of a delayed flight or a shifted meeting and have Plan B and C in motion before the executive even knows there’s a problem.
- Exceptional Communication: You have a diplomatic touch. You can say "no" to a request on behalf of leadership in a way that preserves the relationship and upholds Cape’s brand.
- High-Growth Agility: You thrive in fast-paced environments. You can pivot between a complex travel booking and a sensitive office project without losing your attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of G-Suite (or Outlook), Slack, and modern project management tools.
Are you the candidate we are looking for? (Requirements for the role) You have:
- DC Based: This is a Washington, D.C.-based role
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in administrative support, personal support, or a relevant high-level coordinator role.
- Travel Expertise: Proven track record of managing complex travel itineraries.
