Role Overview

The Accounting Associate is responsible for managing a portfolio of small businesses whose bookkeeping they own. They are an integral piece of a team that's helping great customers get an even better experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the trusted advisor and accounting department for Wave's small business clients
• Own bookkeeping accounts for clients within portfolio to meet individual revenue targets and contribute to team's overall revenue targets
• Support clients by using Wave's software to import and categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, complete monthly bookkeeping, and generate financial statements
• Flag potential bookkeeping issues with clients
• Set appropriate expectations with clients and meet or exceed these expectations
• Meet with clients on virtual calls on a recurring schedule to review their books
• Clearly convey accounting concepts in lay terms and answer bookkeeping-related questions
• Provide exceptional customer service
