What You'll Be Doing

  • Work with teams to understand their customer journeys and current state of data
  • Partner with the PM and product leadership to define the goals and KPIs they'll want to achieve with the power of the new data platform
  • Map the new data requirements and events, including the journey steps they belong to, their triggers, and the outcome
  • Create data models that derive the conclusions needed in relation to previously set KPIs
  • Conduct funnel and drop-off analysis to identify friction points in the customer journey and areas for optimisation
  • Advise on how to use data to optimise conversion rates, user engagement, and customer satisfaction across the platform
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that inform product roadmaps, design decisions, and feature prioritisation
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate trends and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Act as a thought partner to Product leadership, proactively identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and drive commercial outcomes
  • Champion a data-informed culture, ensuring that every decision across Product is supported by evidence and measurable impact

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong quantitative skills with a background in maths, statistics or a STEM-related subject
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, NumPy), DBT and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience in data modelling
  • Experience designing and analysing experiments and A/B tests, with a solid grasp of statistical methodologies (e.g., regression, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing)
  • Passion for customer-centric problem solving with curiosity to uncover friction points and opportunities for innovation
  • Proven ability to define and monitor product success metrics, translating data into actionable insights that shape product strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, experimentation tools (e.g., Optimizely), and user journey analytics (e.g. Adobe, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership and drive strategic alignment
