Trader II – Data Analytics (Sports Trading) - Full-Time Employee

Overview

As Trader II - Data Analytics within Fanatics Betting & Gaming, you will analyze large and complex datasets, develop statistical and analytical models, and deliver data-driven insights to support pricing strategy, risk analysis, and operational decision-making within a high-volume digital marketplace. You will work across trading, product, and engineering functions to evaluate system performance, develop analytical frameworks, and support scalable, data-driven decision systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply mathematical, statistical, and probabilistic techniques to develop and maintain pricing and decision models across multiple soccer competitions
  • Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from internal and third-party sources to support analysis and modeling
  • Analyze market, transactional, and behavioral data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers
  • Develop and maintain data queries, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor performance and inform decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze real-time data flows and system outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Analyze and model risk exposure and system performance using quantitative techniques
  • Produce and present analytical reports, dashboards, and insights to stakeholders to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Collaborate with engineering and quantitative teams to design, test, and refine analytical models and data systems
  • Evaluate third-party data sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness
  • Support the development of analytical capability within the team, including mentoring junior staff
  • Work cross-functionally to translate analytical findings into practical recommendations that impact business decisions
