Senior Software Engineer, Protect (Contract Position)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong backend fundamentals. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance, cloud-native services and APIs.

Golang is our primary backend language, and you will work extensively with Go-based services in production. At the same time, this role operates at the intersection of backend engineering and ML operations—you’ll collaborate closely with ML engineers and research teams.

We welcome candidates with prior backend experience in languages such as Java, Scala or Python, who are eager to ramp up in Go while working across both backend and ML-driven systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs
• Build and productionize backend services primarily in Golang
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers and research teams to take models from experimentation to production
• Develop and maintain services using AWS (Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3) and GCP native services
• Deliver production-ready features end-to-end with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Google Logging, and Cloud Trace
• Review code to uphold quality standards and promote best practices
• Contribute to evolving backend and ML platform architecture
