Senior Manager, Final Mile Delivery

Responsibilities

• Carrier Strategy & Network Optimization: Drive zone-skipping strategy in partnership with UPS and other parcel carriers to compress transit times and reduce ship-from-zone costs at the fulfillment level.
• Same-Day/Last-Mile Operations: Design and scale same-day and next-day local delivery offerings from fulfillment centers, leveraging in-house drivers and aggregator platforms like DoorDash, Roadie, and Uber Freight.
• Lead and manage a team of 10-40 drivers (company-employed and aggregator-contracted).
• Oversee onboarding, performance management, cost optimization, and SLA achievement for all delivery partners.
• Develop and execute the strategy for the final mile delivery network, integrating same-day fulfillment, local pickup, and zone-skipping through UPS.

Qualifications

• Experience in on-demand logistics, last-mile delivery, or e-commerce fulfillment operations.
• Proven ability to manage and scale delivery networks with both in-house and third-party carriers.
• Strong analytical skills for cost optimization and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
