Product Engineer (Mobile) (m/f/d)
About the role
Job description
We welcome applicants with a range of experience levels, from those a few years into their career to seasoned engineers. If you are just starting your career but already have experience working alongside your studies, we are also happy to talk to you.
We're looking for a Product Engineer with a strong mobile specialization, a solid technical foundation, and experience working on SaaS products in agile environments. You'll help us build high-quality user experiences in our Flutter app, with deep ownership of the user interface, interaction patterns, performance, accessibility, and the overall quality of our app. While your core focus will be mobile, we value an end-to-end product mindset and openness to extending your impact into backend or web systems where needed, bridging the gap with the support of AI.
What you can expect
- Deliver Features End-to-End: Ship user-facing features in our core domains with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Cross-stack Development: Work hands-on with our mobile stack (Flutter, Dart) and extend into backend and web systems where appropriate.
- Build with Care: Develop software following modern practices: API-first design, code reviews, automated testing, and utilizing MR environments for exploratory testing before a merge.
- Validate What You Build: Instrument your features, observe how users actually behave, and use what you learn to refine, double down, or drop what doesn't work.
- AI-Enabled Growth: Transition toward an AI-supported workflow, shifting focus from "writing code to spec" to holistic, end-to-end solution ownership.
- Own Your Features: Own the features you deliver — from technical decisions and cross-team alignment in our guilds to rollout and iteration.
What you bring to the table
If you're excited about the role but don't tick every box, we still want to hear from you. Your attitude and willingness to learn matter more to us than matching every bullet. Applicants coming from Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native, or native iOS/Android backgrounds are welcome. We value mobile depth and a willingness to ramp up on Flutter.
Must Haves:
- Mobile Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart, including the widget/layout system and state management; a keen eye for performance, accessibility, and platform conventions.
- Cross-stack Mindset: Mobile is your primary discipline, but you're open to stepping into backend or web development when a feature calls for it.
- Comfortable with AI Coding Tools: You use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as part of your workflow, or are eager to adopt them.
- Ownership: You think in terms of user impact, not tickets. You ask "what would actually help the user or what would bring me cl
