The Role
We are looking for a Medical School Admissions Consultant! If you are currently in residency and passionate about mentorship, coaching, and helping students reach their full potential in the medical school admissions process, this could be the role for you. You’ll work closely with pre-med and medical school applicants to track their progress, strengthen their applications, and guide them through every step of the med school admissions journey, including AMCAS and AACOMAS applications. This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Work with prospective medical school candidates and pre-med students, helping them identify opportunities to build their profile and draft compelling medical school application materials
- Manage relationships with applicants and families while providing strategic and tactical guidance on medical school selection, essays, resumes, letters of recommendation, interviews, and the overall medical school admissions process
- Identify optimal medical programs and medical schools for individual students; provide feedback and guidance to students regarding their research on university programs and relevant admissions resources, ensuring alignment with the student’s background and career goals
- Support students with project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal organizational tools
- Stay up to date on the medical school admissions landscape, including program requirements and admissions criteria, to advise prospective and existing clients on appropriate school selection and the nuances of applying to medical school
Qualifications

- Graduated from a U.S. medical school
- Previous experience on a medical school admissions committee, including reviewing applications and participating in acceptance and rejection decisions
- A passion for mentorship and coaching pre-med students
