Role Overview

Oura is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Retail, LATAM who will lead the business expansion and growth in the Latin America Region. This individual will provide leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the Oura retail sales function across LATAM. As a senior sales leader, the Director of Retail is accountable for driving existing key accounts, identifying new market opportunities, term negotiations, overall sales performance, and for aligning sales objectives with firm business strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail sales management, a deep understanding of the consumer hardware market, and a proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep retail experience, a track record of building and scaling retail partnerships in LATAM, and a passion for delivering best-in-class in-store and omnichannel brand experiences across diverse markets.

Preferred location is Miami FL, remote candidates will be considered.

What you will do

  • Retail Sales Strategy and Market Expansion: Align the sales organization’s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in Oura’s strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales planning, and budgeting. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive sales growth and market share.
  • Sales Performance Management: Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs for retail channels across Latin America. Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet and exceed targets. Proactively assess existing sales organization support investments, including MDF/CO-OP, Conditional/Unconditional Rebates, Merchandising and Administrative support.
  • Channel Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including major electronics retailers, department stores, and specialty stores. Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and promotional activities with retail partners. Lead distributor strategy, performance management, forecasting, inventory planning, and commercial negotiations across the region.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing retail sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Provide guidance and support to sales managers and representatives to enhance their performance and career development.
  • Market Insights and Reporting: Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support for retail sales initiatives.
